Quick answer: Our Women in the Trades Website Giveaway usually gives away one complete Hydra OS website per drawing. This round, we're giving away two. Recipient number one is Chilly Billy Heating & Cooling, a family-run HVAC company in Kissimmee, Florida, owned by Taisha Javier and her husband — picked directly, ahead of the scheduled drawing. Recipient number two is still chosen fairly, by public drawing, on September 30, 2026, exactly as we already announced. Nobody already in the pool loses their shot.
A rebrand that cost them their search traffic
Since 2022, Taisha and her husband have built Chilly Billy into a family HVAC business serving Central Florida: 24/7 emergency service, five-star reviews, and a brand built around a goat mascot with a fitting motto — the G.O.A.T. of home comfort. This year they did the brave thing and gave the company a full rebrand. It's a good-looking brand. But launching a new name, a new WordPress site, and a new URL all at once meant the search rankings they had earned under the old brand didn't carry over. Traffic fell. Their marketing budget was buying "one thin blog post a week and not much SEO," from a vendor that charged without sending invoices. They were about to start spending on paid ads just to get back to where they'd already been.
That's a problem any trades business can hit after a rebrand or a site migration: the new brand looks better, but the old brand's search equity doesn't move with it unless someone manages that transition on purpose.
Why we didn't wait for the drawing
We had a drawing scheduled for this fall, same as always. But during an application call, we were talking to a woman who had done everything right in her business and was still losing ground because of a rebrand nobody set her up to protect. We didn't want to make her wait for a random draw to fix a problem we could see clearly right in front of us.
"Instead of one recipient, we're giving two Women in the Trades new websites. And we're still doing the drawing on September 30, as promised."
— Jennifer Bagley, CEO, CI Web Group
So Chilly Billy becomes recipient number one — chosen directly, not through the drawing. That doesn't change anyone else's odds. The public drawing for recipient number two still happens on September 30, 2026, drawn from the same year-round applicant pool, exactly as we told applicants it would.
What Chilly Billy's gift includes
The program's terms are the same for every winner, drawn or picked: a complete website built on Hydra OS, a $10,000 value, at no cost to the winner. That means new content written for every service, ten target location pages, an AEO/GEO-ready Learning Center, and one free build component. After launch, hosting and maintenance runs $150 a month — the part of the program that keeps a gifted site live, updated, and supported, stated plainly so nobody is surprised by it. Everything else, including any additional marketing services, stays optional the same way it does for every applicant.
Chilly Billy's build starts now. We don't publish traffic, ranking, or results claims before a site is live and those numbers are real — the same discipline we hold every launch to. When Chilly Billy's Hydra OS site goes live, we'll publish the full story with the real numbers, the same way we did for Head's Plumbing, our first Women in the Trades winner.
If you're a woman-owned trades business
Applications for the Women in the Trades program stay open year-round, and every application stays in the pool for every future drawing — you don't have to reapply. The next public drawing, for recipient number two of this round, is September 30, 2026.
