Champion Air
How Champion Air recovered from a 75% organic-traffic drop by moving to Hydra OS — a 30-day AI-first rebuild before the Phoenix summer season.
“I'm very upset that we're still on WordPress — we're talking about losing the entire season.”
Numbers that show up in the bank account.
Champion Air (championair.com) is one of the Valley's largest family-owned HVAC teams — a Dave Lennox Award–winning dealer serving Scottsdale, Surprise, and greater Phoenix against a field of private-equity-owned chains. But owner Barry Farah had a problem: the website had quietly become a liability. After a December 2025 'optimization,' organic traffic plunged roughly 75% — from about 4,500 visits a month to 1,200 — the casualty of thin content and a WordPress architecture that merged service and city pages and chased low-demand keywords, cannibalizing its own SEO.
With the busy summer season bearing down, Champion Air needed speed they couldn't get from another slow WordPress patch — or from a stalled Webflow rebuild. CI Web Group moved them to Hydra OS, our headless, AI-first platform with near-instant page loads, and committed to a 30-day launch. We rebuilt the site around a high-value brand story — superior ventilation and air-balancing expertise, and the local, family-owned alternative to PE-owned competitors — in the bright, simple, conversion-focused layout their 50-plus customer base responds to.
The new site is fast, secure, and structured so both Google and AI answer engines can recommend Champion Air with confidence for the searches that matter across their Phoenix-area markets. A site that had been steadily losing ground is now built to win the season — and to keep compounding as AI-driven search grows.

Live since May 1, 2026 — and improved ever since.
Every dated entry is one of two things: a performance gain measured against this client's own pre-launch baseline (Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Business Profile, and call tracking — percentage gains only, the raw numbers stay private), or a strategic addition shipped to the live site straight from our build record. A Hydra site isn't a launch-and-leave project — the timeline below is what continuous improvement actually looks like.
