01What is the monthly cost of moving my website to Hydra?+
For eligible current CI Web Group customers, the one-time Hydra migration and upgrade fee is waived on every plan. You then choose an ongoing plan: Essentials at $150 per month, Content at $250 per month, or Growth at $500 per month. All three bill automatically each month until canceled with 30 days’ notice.
02What is the difference between Essentials, Content, and Growth?+
All three include the complimentary migration, the Hydra OS platform, managed hosting, maintenance, security, compliance-ready foundations with recurring QA, basic design changes, and the one-time full SEO migration pass. Essentials ($150/mo) stops there — no publishing. Content ($250/mo) adds one SEO/AEO-optimized blog post every week, published and internally linked. Growth ($500/mo) adds everything in Content plus a second post each week and 25 Hydra Build Credits each month for Growth Work; unused credits roll forward, so you can save them for a larger project.
03What exactly is “Growth Work”, and what do the credits buy?+
Growth Work is the recurring search, answer-engine, content, conversion, and local work that keeps a live Hydra site gaining ground after launch. Every task is scoped to something you can point at — one page, one content cluster, one Google Business Profile — and priced so that nothing on the menu costs more than a single month of credits. A month buys, for example, an SEO/AEO audit with the top fixes applied, or a net-new service page, or a conversion pass on a money page, or several smaller items such as an FAQ block with schema, an internal-link pass, a schema block, or an image and alt-text pass. Unused credits roll forward, which is how clients fund a full Hydra Build Component over time. Two things are worth stating plainly: Build Components start well above one month's credits, so those are what you save toward rather than what you get in month one; and the Hydra SEO / AEO / GEO Agent runs on separate Search Intelligence Credits with its own monthly minimum, so it is never included in an upgrade plan.
04Can I change plans later?+
Yes. You can move up or down between Essentials, Content, and Growth at any time — they are month-to-month, not tiers you are locked into. Moving up starts the added work on the next billing cycle; moving down takes effect at the end of the current month.
05Is Hydra still built on WordPress, or is it a proprietary CI Web Group platform?+
Hydra OS is CI Web Group’s proprietary website operating and delivery platform built on modern technologies including Astro. The public website is static and database-free; it is not a WordPress theme or a WordPress site running plugins. WordPress PMS may be used behind the scenes as an editorial source, but visitors never load a live WordPress application.
06Am I required to sign a new contract, membership, or monthly service agreement to keep my website active?+
To activate and keep a Hydra site hosted, maintained, secured, and supported by CI Web Group, you accept one of the three monthly subscriptions ($150, $250, or $500) and its auto-renewal terms. It is month-to-month, not a long-term contract, and can be canceled with 30 days’ notice.
07If I move to Hydra, am I locked into CI Web Group’s platform going forward?+
No long-term contract locks you in. Your business identity and owned assets remain portable. Hydra’s platform code, reusable components, agents, and infrastructure remain CI Web Group technology, so leaving Hydra means exporting your owned content and data and rebuilding or migrating them to the platform you choose.
08Do I fully own my website content, pages, images, blog posts, SEO work, page structure, and domain?+
Yes—you own your domain, business data, approved site content, original pages and blog posts, your images or properly transferred image licenses, SEO metadata, redirect map, and public information architecture. Third-party licensed assets remain subject to their licenses, and CI Web Group retains its proprietary Hydra platform code, reusable components, automations, and agent systems.
09Can my current website be exported and moved to my own WordPress hosting provider instead?+
If your current website is a WordPress site and you control the underlying account and assets, CI Web Group can coordinate a standard WordPress handoff instead of a Hydra migration. Your new provider is responsible for importing, configuring, testing, licensing, and operating it. A Hydra site itself is not WordPress and cannot be moved as a WordPress installation without a separate rebuild.
10If I move the site to my own WordPress hosting, can CI Web Group provide a full export of the website, including WordPress files, database, media library, plugins/theme details, redirects, forms, and SEO settings?+
For an existing WordPress site, we can provide a commercially reasonable handoff of the files, database, media, redirect and SEO configuration, and implementation details under our control. Passwords, secrets, historical form submissions, non-transferable software licenses, and proprietary CI Web Group tools are excluded. Vendor licenses may need to be repurchased, and the receiving provider must validate the restored site.
11What happens if I do not approve the move to Hydra? Will my website remain live, and for how long?+
There is now a date. As of January 1, 2027, CI Web Group will no longer provide hosting and maintenance for WordPress or Webflow websites. Declining the Hydra upgrade does not cause an immediate shutdown — your current website stays live while its existing arrangement is active, and nothing changes before that date. You then have two options: launch your new Hydra website, with the one-time migration and upgrade fee waived for eligible current customers, or move your website to another provider, and we will provide multiple options for hosting, maintenance, and support. That vendor list is coming soon. If you are not sure what your site runs on today, contact us and we will confirm it.
12Will the Hydra migration affect my current URLs, redirects, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, tracking, forms, page speed, or existing SEO work?+
The migration is designed to preserve valuable SEO equity. We inventory URLs, retain canonical paths where practical, map 301 redirects, migrate content and metadata, reconnect analytics and Search Console, validate forms and tracking, crawl the finished site, and measure performance. Temporary search fluctuation is possible with any platform migration, so launch QA and post-launch monitoring are included; rankings are never guaranteed.
13What exactly is included in the Hydra plan compared to my current hosting/setup?+
Every plan combines the Hydra OS platform, managed hosting and edge delivery, maintenance, security, compliance-ready foundations and QA, basic design changes, and a one-time full SEO migration pass. Content adds one optimized blog each week; Growth adds a monthly Hydra credit budget for SEO work on top of that. Not included on any plan: call tracking and call recording, paid media, full-service SEO and local SEO programs, social media, PR, conversion campaigns, major redesigns, custom software, and large new content programs. Those are priced separately at ciwebgroup.com/get-started.
14Is the Hydra upgrade really free?+
The eligible current-customer upgrade and one-time migration work are complimentary—there is no separate website rebuild fee for the included scope, on any of the three plans. Your chosen monthly plan begins when you enroll and covers the ongoing platform, hosting, maintenance, security, compliance QA, and support, plus the content cadence and credits included at that tier.
15Is CI Web Group discontinuing support for WordPress and Webflow websites?+
Yes, as of January 1, 2027. After that date CI Web Group will no longer provide hosting and maintenance for WordPress or Webflow websites. Before then you can either launch your new Hydra website — with the one-time migration and upgrade fee waived for eligible current customers — or move your website to another provider, and we will provide multiple options for hosting, maintenance, and support. A vendor list is coming soon. This change is about the platform we host and maintain; you continue to own your domain, content, and business data either way.
16Is call tracking included in these plans?+
No. Call tracking and call recording are not part of any of the three Hydra Upgrade plans. These plans cover the website platform — hosting, maintenance, security, compliance and QA — plus the content cadence at your tier. Call tracking is part of a marketing plan, and you can add it along with full marketing and ongoing SEO at ciwebgroup.com/get-started.
17Growth includes SEO credits — is that the same as an SEO program?+
No, and the difference matters. The Growth plan gives you a monthly Hydra credit budget you can spend on SEO and growth work on your own site. A full-service SEO program is a broader engagement — market and competitor research, local SEO and Google Business Profile work, link building, reporting, and a strategist owning the outcome. If you want that, configure it at ciwebgroup.com/get-started rather than relying on the credit budget alone.
18Can I upgrade from this plan to full marketing?+
Yes. The Hydra Upgrade plans keep the website foundation healthy, and Growth adds a monthly credit budget for SEO work. Customers who want ongoing local visibility, AI-search growth, paid media, PR, conversion work, or a larger content program than one post a week can configure full marketing with live pricing in Get Started.
