# Central Intelligence Engine

The Central Intelligence Engine is the umbrella brain of the CI Web Group platform. It is not a single product — it is the coordinated system that unifies five layers into one working intelligence:

1. **[Synapse](./synapse.md) — the trades-industry data lake.** 20 years of trades data as vector embeddings.
2. **RAG (retrieval-augmented generation).** Every agent decision is grounded in retrieved facts, not generic LLM training.
3. **CAG (cache-augmented generation).** Sub-second responses on repeated queries via a cached-context layer.
4. **[MemPalace](./mempalace.md) — the memory layer.** Long-lived, per-client and cross-client memory alongside the vector stack.
5. **[CI Agents](./ci-agents.md) — the autonomous agent network.** Eight named agents (Wolverine, Groot, Goodspeed, Sarge, Buttercup, Neo, Vader, Yoda) coordinated over Model Context Protocol.
